Outback Filmmaking Bootcamp

Students scout many of the region’s most cinematic locations, spend a couple of nights camping under the stars and have unique access to the Festival’s industry guests.

The Outback Filmmaking Bootcamp is the longest running Kolperi program, and is a two-week filmmaking intensive where film, animation, composing, and acting students from Australia and around the world collaborate in small teams to pitch, shoot, edit, and screen a film on the Festival’s final night. Students scout many of the region’s most cinematic locations, spend a couple of nights camping under the stars and have unique access to the Festival’s industry guests.

Students are required to include local community members in the creation of their films, learning the importance of storytelling, collaboration and community. Student's also have exclusive access to all Industry days and screenings as part of the Vision Splendid Outback Film Festival.

International and interstate film students are also encouraged to apply.
