After two years abroad, 17-year-old Rosie returns to her rural hometown, Winton, for one night to attend her grandmother’s funeral. With less than 12 hours till she leaves again, Rosie attempts to mend the broken heart of her middle school sweetheart, Jamie.
Jacquelynn Auger is a young, female identifying, Australian, emerging filmmaker. For Jacquie, story-telling is an immensely powerful medium and has been my her true passions for as long as she can remember. PAUSE is the first short film Jacquelynn has written since graduating from her Bachelor of Film andNew Media Production in December 2020 and has been the most challenging script she has developed to date. Like any writer, honing in on your own experience and being honest with yourself, while the key to making a great story, can be difficult. This is especially true when writing about what the majority of humans know, but also fear; love.
